The core principle of the Forefront Medical Quality Policy is: "Fitness for Purpose with Continuous Improvement". To fulfill this belief, they work closely with customers to gain a clear understanding of product quality and performance requirements, including service, delivery and price. Forefront works toward the long term goal to exceed these expectations.
One of the key philosophies at Forefront Medical is that all employees have ownership of Quality. This concept is supported by the Quality Department who provide education, training and Quality Assurance (Q.A) and Quality Control (Q.C) services.
Regular reviews are held with all staff to assess the Company’s Performance against the Quality Objectives and to gain feedback on suggestions for further improvement.
All key suppliers enter into a Forefront Medical partnership programme to gain Approved Vendor Certification. This is done by mutually working with suppliers, to ensure that the requirements are understood and that materials supplied to Forefront meet the desired Quality, Delivery and Service levels. All assembly operations are conducted within a suite of class 7 clean rooms.
These are regularly monitored for compliance to particulate level and also by external laboratories for micro-bial activity. Various validation methods are employed to ensure that key equipment, processes and products meet the necessary quality levels.
Verification checks at strategic stages, including first-off, in-line, on-line, packaging, post-packaging, pre-shipment and final inspection, ensure that the end product meets and exceeds the customers desired requirements. Full traceability documents are maintained for all key materials and processes. Certificates of Conformity and Certificates of Processing are provided on completion of the sterilisation activities.
Teams of specially trained auditors conduct continual programmes of self-assessment. An ongoing programme of continuous improvement is realised through activities such as Quality improvement Projects (QIP) and Process Improvement Projects (PIP), these are raised and worked on by in-house teams.
Forefront Medical Technology maintains a Quality Management System (QMS) that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003 and FDA CFR 21 Part 820. This system has successfully undergone many customer audits. |
